Siamese
Fighting Fish by Gene A Lucas Ph.D., Edited
By Herbert Axelrod. This is a brand new copy of the out of print TFH
hardback reprint of the original Lucas book, Know Your Bettas. To quote
Axelrod, " Inasmuch as the text itself was knowledge at the edge of
science, TFH has reissued the book with the addition of about 100 original
illustrations." Since
the original rights were sold to Pet Library, Gene Lucas had no input as
to the adding of neither the pictures nor their captions. There has been
some "discussion" about some of the captions. The book is
approximately 8.5" X 11" and is beautiful illustrated. The
written information is invaluable. From selecting bettas, care, feeding,
breeding and a whole chapter on genetics, this book is considered by many
to be the definitive betta writing.
